What do you listen to while you sort the laundry?
While you put the desk in order?
While you cook dinner for yourself?
Chances are: to nothing.
That’s because such activities aren’t detached enough for listening to music and not static enough for streaming/binging/YouTube.
And my word, can they get boring!
But these micro-moments that involve getting up and doing *stuff* around the house, which you kinda resent doing, can easily be made fun with – you’ve guessed it – podcasts.
I’ve been listening to quite a few even while sitting down and contemplating the massive amount of s**t I have to do which doesn’t imply opening a new tab in my browser.
*The struggle.*
Because, let’s be real here: there are times when I can’t take screens a second longer, but I also don’t want to walk about un-entertained, all by myself, alone with my thoughts. I *need* the distraction, the mental chewing gum.
So while doing random stuff around the house or strolling around town, I nudge myself to listen to an instructive (or, if not instructive, funny) podcast. And let me tell you: it can be quite life changing.
Without further ado, let’s dive right in.
The following list of podcasts is for women who run their own business either as solopreneurs or as founders.
